Not so theorectical question

You are standing on a second story of a two story buliding. You want togo to the first story of said building. Before you to the left is an escalator going down. Directly ahead of you are stairs. Coming up the stairs are a boat load of people, hurling themselves toward your direction.

What do you do?

Take the escalator. It's going where I need to be!

Take the stairs. Those people need to move because I'm impotent!
2(11.1%)
Look around for an elevator, because I want to be difficult and add something to this poll that isn't there already.
1(5.6%)
Turn around and run from the onslaught of people that are obviously out to get me.
3(16.7%)
Stand exactly where you are, wait for all the people to leave, then do something else. I was in no rush to see the first story anyway.

(1) You don't say how big the boat is. If it was a two-person rowboat, it wouldn't bother me.

*** ERROR *** Undefined Specification

I crash.

(2) I ask myself: Why are they coming up? What's down there? Is the building sinking *again*?

1. I'll define a boat load as a large finite number just for you. PIC 9(99) let's say...
2. The boat load of people are not coming from the Titanic, you ninny!

=) on both comments for the sarcastically impaired

The second answer quite possibly has the Unintentional Typo of the Month

By the way, I take the escalator--but I walk down it. It's not that I'm in such a hurry, but walking is the only exercise I get.
