Interesting test

dorwrath mentioned two Firefox extensions that are specific to LiveJournal. This post is being made via Deepest Sender, which is an extension that allows for posting to your journal through a WYSIWYG interface.  Assuming that this post actually makes it to my journal, that's pretty danged cool. deepestsupport is the support group.

The other item is LiveJournal Friends Checker, which will allow Firefox to do like Semagic with the notifications when friends update their journal.  I don't care for this function, so don't have  a need to test it.

I'm needing to tone down on guess_that_show  There were only a few players this last round, and I fear it's because of the whole "Love, American Style" thing combined with the fact that these were really fairly hard!

I'm kicking myself with "Living Dolls"...I mean, I *remember* the show (it was a spinoff of "Who's the Boss")..I just couldn't make out who was in the picture...

Ahhhh don't worry about GTS... you threw us off, sure, but I am humbled because I should have known 'Living Dolls' and I even thought that maybe it was Leah but alas....

Been there used that. How does the other extension notify you of new posts? E-mail, Telephone, Flying Monkeys, Midgets, Carrier Pigeons?

From what the link says "places an icon in the lower left corner of your browser when one of your friends post"

Again, not something I'm likely to use because I disable that function on Semagic as well... but thought I'd share the info.

On your Firefox, go to Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Software Update.

Is there a checkbox by "Allow web sites to install software"? If not, that's likely to be your problem with this.

(Yes, this is a very late reply. Sue me!)

What would be interesting is moving the entire community from Yahoo to lj. Imagine the user icons? Hehehehe!

ktaborn AKA Oxnardus is here, but she seems to many use her account for her whoosh_org community. caligastian AKA Kid Q is here as well. Not sure about anyone else though...

Just for you, I've gone and downloaded this to my machine. Basically, there is LJ user icon that shows up in the lower left corner of the browser when there is an update. Assuming you've gotten this to install by now, you have go to tools, extension, and click the check box for the LiveJournal friends checker to put in your info for this to work...

That's no fun. Are you sure they don't send a Midget? THAT would be fun!
