Remembering a great man

It was four years ago today that the only grandfather I knew passed away.

I was planning on writing more about this wonderful man, and what positive influence he has been on anyone around him, on my father and on me.  But I just can't.  Four years later, the pain of his absense still haunts my soul.

So instead, I'm noting this day with a solemn statement - Find humor in life, and remember those who have given to ensure the life that we live now.

I still miss my grandfather (mother's father). He would be 102 now.

He taught me German pronounciation (Bremen area). He would love it that I'm taking a German class right now.

He never met Cheri. I wish he had.

He died the day before the Challenger exploded.

Damn, now I'm tearing up.
