Uh, hi.

So I  was gone for like 7 weeks. Hi.

I've had bronchitis, Jen's had a sore throat, and now we're both better.

My good friend from junior high and high school, Sarah Gordon, will be coming to town in a few days. I haven't seen her for some 14 years, so I'm really looking forward to that.

Those that are Amazing Race 6 fans, don't forget that tonight's show starts at 8 pm Eastern/Pacfic, due to the Kennedy Center Awards.

Harry Potter 6 will be out July 16, 2005, in case you haven't heard. Amazon already accepting pre-orders, and it's already #1 on the bestseller's list.

I really don't have a lot else. I did want to share this thought with you - The Ethel Merman Disco Album. If it were cheaper, it'd be a great gag gift...

I have tried twice to make Alton Brown's Peanut Brittle and failed miserably both times. Once I didn't cook the syrup long enough, and the second time the sugar syrup recrystalized as sugar. How depressing.

That's about this. Maybe I'll be interesting again someday. This, of course, assumes that I ever was interesting.

If I missed something of import, please let me know, either here or email.

The biggest news: I may be just a few weeks away from packing up and moving far, far away, fiancée in tow. I may be getting a job with a major western city as a city planner--I should know in a while.

Glad to hear you're alive. I was starting to worry about you.

We'll be down that way over the weekend, but I've already had to disappoint cahwyguy in cancelling one meeting.

Hope the next 7 weeks are better!

The next 7 weeks have to be better - Christmas and New Years are in them, and I'm on vacation!

Glad to hear you and Jen are doing OK. I thought we might've lost you to another massive project at work.

Nothing too much to note in this corner of the world. Working again for a retailer (not Best Buy though, yay!!), lost my girlfriend, got a boyfriend. Woo. ^^;

Happy holidays to you! ^___^

Dude, where have you been? Oh, yeah, you just told me. Since you have been gone we found out that Lori's dad has Alzheimer's (he's 54), we had to put Angel down, and last week our Pastor died. Wait, I'm only telling you bad things. Here are the good things... uh, yeah. Well I'm glad to see you back!

Okay, so you are just the opposite of driley1 - I went away and all hell broke loose for you and yours. Is there anything I can do for you, dude?

quick, like a bunny, quit your job and stay home to read it all and catch up!!!!!!! :D

I've never made peanut brittle but yeah, whenever there's sugar syrup going on it gets tricky... you are brave to have tried it at all :D

I'm on vacation, and that's about as close as I can do fer ya.

Jen's got a microwave peanut brittle recipe that she makes every year with no hassle. I saw the non-microwave recipe and thought I should try it. Never again... yet tomorrow I try chocolate chip cookies from scratch, as well as chocolate truffles. I might even whip up a bacon and cheddar quiche for Jen and I to munch on this upcoming week...

It's good to be on vacation. =)

Herself made peanut brittle one year, and promptly broke a crown while eating it. The dentist asked for her recipe.
