Non-spoiler Amazing Race news

According to this, we're gonna get TAR1 ... maybe ... this year ... maybe ... on DVD.  Since the first one I saw was #5, I'm very interested to see the earlier seasons -- especially since I don't know the outcomes. Hopefully, they will have some sort of extra that shows how the cameramen deal with this this show...

(And I still blame lambertman for getting me into the show...)
In other news, this rain in SoCal can go away for a while.

In the meantime, though, there's this . . .

I dunnno if they'll get the rights to TAR, though. Since one of the TAR2 contestants was involved in the creation of the would-be-and-still-might-be competitor, Reality24/7.

I'll buy the DVD even thought I just dug out my tapes of the first series. (So glorious it was back then; even the 'villain' teams had redeeming qualities, unlike many of TAR7's folk.)

But I'm sure the contestants have to sign away any rights to it before they're allowed to participate. I don't think they get any say in where it gets sold.

Also... TAR7? You have a glimpse of the next season? heheh

But yeah, aside from Kris and Jon, all of the remaining contestants are wretched. While sequesterville is filled with all of the nice people. I don't think TAR6 is as well designed as past seasons, and the Jackass makes watching almost painful at times, yet it's still one of the best shows on television.

They don't have any say where it airs, true, but I figured Blake might've been able to lock up the rights back before FOX announced their intentions.

We shall see. I'd be cool with it being on FRC because it's much more of a sure thing that channel will be on DirecTV from the beginning. :)

For some reason, my brain keeps telling me this is #7. I'm defective.

This season is starting to stink like a fermenting Burnett production, unfortunately. It's losing its Emmy™ charm.

This show kicks all of my ass. lambertmanChris did you a favor.

I can't wait for these damn DVDs. There had better be some fucking extras, or I will have someone killed.

How are you handling the rain? I'm doing fine, but just up the coast - well, it ain't pretty.

Not too shabby. More worried about you though, after I saw that slider on the news this morning.

I live on the Oxnard Plain, fairly close to the beach but far from any hills or flood channels. If there were a major problem in the sewage system, that might cause trouble where I live. So far, so good.
