Quick notes

For those with XM Radio, IT has started on XM 4. And from the rumours, it may be the last replay of IT.
XM's spectacular music event returns... IT is back! A revolutionary and definitive replay of every hit song from 1930 to 1999 spread across XM's six decade channels. This history of pop music begins on 40s and continues through the 90s in this ultimate musical salute to pop music!

For those with DirecTV, and who want a DirecTiVo (or another DirecTiVo), our local Best Buy has the basic R10, 70 hour DirecTiVo for $99 + tax, with a $100 mail in rebate. Basically, because of the agreement between DirecTV and TiVo disolving, DirecTV is trying to offload their inventory. I just replaced my standard D10 receiver with the the basic R10 DirecTiVo -- just in case I have a need to record three channels at once, or if the primary TiVo goes belly up.

Now... do I use my TiVo icon, or my XM Radio icon? Hmm... I'm confused.

hell yes. I'd be lost without 2 tivos, actually... this year more than 2 things are on at one time so if I didn't already have 2 I'd be all over this :)

IT starts on XM 4 (The 40's) and goes through the whole decade, then moves to the next decade channel, rinse, lather, repeat until they end at the 90's.

When does that start?

IT already started - I think Friday at noon on XM 4. I just got done listening to Bennie Goodman's "Sing Sing Sing", which reminds me that I need to find a copy of Hooked on Swing...

I'll have to tune it in right now on the computer.

Usually, in my car, I'm listening to either "The Mix" or one of the Jazz stations.

The 11 minute Carnegie Hall concert version is still the best, IMHO.

I've got the 1938 and 1978 concerts on CD...wow, I bought them almost 20 years ago.

Cool - you should drop the TiVo info in tivolovers :-)

If it was in the ad that came out today, I would, but I'm not sure they are still doing it.
