REQ: West Wing

So is there anyone out there who receives The West Wing from the east coast who would be willing to record this Sunday's live episode and send me a copy? I'm stuck with the west coast and would like to see both versions. I can do the same in return. I don't have a DVD-R, so it would be video tape on my side.

Er, I'm not sure what you're getting at... what's so new about a show being recorded but time-delayed for the west coast when everyone else gets it live?

Maybe they're doing some sort of special thing, with one version for west and one for east...

Because they are actually doing two live shows -- one for the east coast and one for the west. ER did the same thing some years back, as did The Drew Carey Show. They should still be practically identical, but ya never know, and I'm a geek enough to care about this show. =)

What about those in the Mountain Time Zone? Do the folks in the Rockies get the Eastern/Central feed or the Pacific feed? Or will they not get it live?

FYI, I'll be in visiting my dad in Arizona over the weekend.

I believe Mountain gets the West Coast feed and Central gets the East Coast feed. Of course, they are both one hour earlier, so a show that starts at 8 pm in LA starts at 7 in these zones.

Give me a time and a network and I'll mail you a tape (with the show).

Sweet. Sunday, 8 pm - 9 pm Eastern on your local NBC affliate, which I think is WAVY Channel 10. I'll drop you an email with other particulars.

Speaking of The West Wing ...
You should see this. Sen. Arnold Vinick, the Presidential challenger, is from right here in Santa Paula! And yes, that's actually part of the city's Website!

There was even an article in the Ventura County Star (registration required) last month about it. The city actually courted NBC and Alan Alda to make his character "Santa Paula’s favorite son".

Ironically, IRL Santa Paulans usually vote Democratic ...
