Everything's coming up roses...

Don't forget that the Rose Parade will be on Monday, January 2 because of the "no parade on Sunday, no rain on our parade" pact with God.

Although, it sounds like that pact ain't working out so well, since the forecast for the area has rain scheduled for Monday morning.

The Rose Bowl is on Wednesday, due to the "no Championship Game on the day of the parade" pact with whoever made this crap up.

Oh, and CBS won't be airing the Rose Parade this year. I don't know if Tribune syndicates Bob Eubanks and Stephanie Edwards out to the nation from KTLA any more or not, but if you can, watch them. They *are* the Rose Parade for many people.

And because all the cool kids are doing it...

In the year 2006 I resolve to:
Generate more bad karma.

Get your resolution here

Instant karma's gonna get me... So in closing, and to put this post back on target, I offer you this album. Coming up roses, indeed...

You know, I thought about going to see the Rose Parade this year, too. But if it's going to rain, then I don't know...

...but it is always nice to see Bob Eubanks and Stephanie Edwards hosting the Rose Parade on KTLA every year....since I could remember! I know they hosted it when I was eight and nine, has it been that long? Talk about tradition. =) If it's a very light rain, I still might go see the parade in person. Yey!

Oh, happy new year!

I used to live in an apartment in Pasadena within walking distance of the parade. One year, after coming home from a gathering, I decided I was too wired to go to sleep and walked down Colorado Blvd. I found a spot on the corner, and sat my butt down, waiting for the parade to start.

It was cool to do. Once. If I ever go again, it will be with a group of people and reserved seating. I'm in no rush for that, though.

Oh, thanks for the pointer to that album.

I remember when it was released. Scary.

Every once in a while, I'll catch a song on Special X from that album. And, indeed, 'tis frightening.

Do you know if the WGN airing is the Bob and Stephanie show?
