Comic talk (non-spoiler)

So the cat's out of the bag on Civil War #2. Anyone who read Amazing Spider-Man #532 alerady suspected what was going to happen. So what's the big deal? Why weren't people in an uproar a month ago about this? Why weren't people a month ago saying "The Spider-Man I knew is dead."? (Note: That's not a spoiler. Spider-Man does not die.) I just don't get it...

52, however, had a verrry interesting week. I'm surprised I haven't seem something from bitter_crimson yet. I'm sure we'll all know when she reads the issue.

The time was 6 o'clock on the Swatch watch
No time to chill, got a date, can't be late
Hey, the girl is gonna do me
Move to the Jacuzzi, ooh, that booty
Smack it up, flip it, rub it down, oh, no

I actually have seen a lot of people going all "The Spider-Man I knew is dead" for a while now. Obviously, CW #2 cemented that, but, yeah, it's been there. (Though I don't have a ton of exposure to people talking about Marvel - just stuff here on LJ, mainly scans_daily, and people more knowledgeable than I talking with me about it in my local comic book store.)

And actually, I did read 52 already. Heh. Read it yesterday... Well. I was going to scan some pages from it, but I was feeling lazy and someone else did soon enough, so I didn't bother. And eh. There actually wasn't that much in the issue that totally blew my mind... I feel like there was a lot more building up for awesome things to come rather than awesome things in the present. But oh, don't worry, sooner or later I WILL have an entire entry dedicated to the chalkboard in Rip Hunter's bunker. Bwahaha.

I presume, by Civil War #2, you're not talking about For The Glory, the reworking of the musical Civil War to be presented at Gettysburg.
