It's magic, we don't have to explain it.

I dropped Amazing Spider-Man after this fiasco known as One More Day. I've frankly been wanting to drop Spidey for some time, but it was the one book my wife liked because it still had humour in it. Of course, knowing this I got Invincible, Hero Squared, and a few other books. She still wouldn't let me drop Spidey, even after Sins Past, The Other, and the Civil War tie-ins. Mind you, this was the only Marvel Universe book we were buying at the time.

Then came One More Day... spread out over MONTHS. And then, specifically, ASM 545. I finally convinced her that this was bogus and should be dropped. She agreed. We won't be sticking around for Brand New Day.

On Newsarama, someone asked Erik Larsen if there were any Image titles they should chek out, since they had a bit of change, having dropped ASM. Let me answer that question here - BUY INVINCIBLE. You will be so much happier with this purchase.

Especially given the wide backlash, I would guess there will be changes.

What will be telling will be the sales numbers for 548-9. That's a few issues into BND. By then, the people who have dropped are either going to back or gone, and those that came on for BND will either still be around or not. Given the three times a month cycle, I think they would be able to make alterations fairly quickly.

I finally had to drop the Superman titles last year after they had wrung every possible ounce of joy from Kal El. The only Superman title I kept was All Star, but it's not mainstream Superman. I still get the Bat books and have been enjoying them a good bit but I do believe that a number of the good authors in the comics world have been sucking it up hard core. At least JMS is giving me one Marvel title I can read with the restart of Thor...

The current Action Comics with Gary Frank on art and Geoff Johns writing is interesting, doubly so if you are a Legion of Super Heroes fan (which I am not).

And of course, Sinestro Corps War just rocked the house.

Danged shame about some other titles. *points to icon*
