Not sure yet what this will mean for me. Being in the regulated utilities and the major thrust of this acquisition being the unregulated storage, it may not be much. however, there is a utilitiy involved, there may be a shakeup -- or not. I have no idea if that utilitiy company is regulated, by whom, what the rules are, etc. I can see them still being a different arm of the company apart from the two California regulated utilities with a different management structure. NOTE: That's supposition on my part, not fact.

If we do try to integrate their utility with the existing, at least for infrastructure, it'll be interesting. I have no insight into what they have currently or how much of a struggle this may be.

We're shocked too...
I'm in the IT department at EnergySouth. We were quite surprised ourselves today and are also wondering what it will all mean when we're done.

I used to occasionally trade with someone from Sempra in the UK. I'm not on the day shift until next Monday, but I can ask questions if that would help.
