*looking around*

I think I'm save to put this here now, since I don't think that Jen will be reading this. I decided that I'm splitting Valentine's Day into two with her. We're going to a special dinner tonight, and she'll get something on the actual "Day o' Hallmark Greed."

It's been raining here in SoCal for two days now. Many people are expecting Noah to appear soon. It's not that bad, but it's been a while since we've had a good rain. With the rain comes accidents, of course. I've decided that people in SoCal drive faster to get out of the rain. Make perverse sense, doesn't it? There was an accident on the street outside work today between a minivan and a bus. The bus ended up knocking over a light standard and a fire hydrant. Don't think anyone was hurt, as I never saw paramedics. However, I only noticed this in passing anyway, and observed a little from here on the ninth floor. The unfortunate thing is that the light standard that the bus knocked down was the one at the bottom of a rather steep hill. (That's relative to LA steep, not San Fransisco steep.) I wonder how quickly the city will get another light up, and how many more accidents will be caused because of it's absense.

I'm very slowly picking up some of the gotchas with Citrix. Hopefully, I'll be picking up some more stuff with this fairly soon. I will say that it's rather nice being able to get to fully functioning work applications from home without having to VPN in.

It's a good thing I know you aren't feeling that great, because otherwise, I'd think I just been slammed.

Of course the non-romantic side of this is that Friday is going to be SOOO fricking busy at any resteraunt that it's just not worth going out. Tonight, not so much.
