I forgot to mention this one in yesterday's entry -- what is up with the opening credits for The West Wing?!?! At the beginning of the season, everything was as expected. Row Lowe, Stockard Channing, et al through to Martin Sheen. Then, as if by magic, Stockard Channing is suddendly gone, and Joshua Malina is added. Now, I don't mind the fact the Jeremy Malina is there, but why dump Stockard, especially when Rob Lowe is leaving the show and is currently not appearing? Then, this week's episode has the whole fambed damned family in it -- Lowe, Channing, and Malina. Can't they make up their fraggin' minds over there at Warner Bros.?!?!?

Today's friday Five is actually interesting, so I guess I'll be a lemming and gopher it.
1. Explain why you started to journal/blog. Saw a cross posting from Randy's Minions to (I believe) hmtriplecrown's journal. Read, saw others, and was hooked before I made my first post. (Thanks Unkle Mike!)
2. Do people you interact with day to day or family members know about your journal/blog? A few people at work who are my friends are aware of it, though they don't read it unless I specifically point something out to them. Ditto on Jen.
3. Do you have a theme for your journal/blog? No, and but it has a series of logos! *rimshot* I post what I want to here when I want to. That's my theme.
4. What direction would you like to have your journal/blog go in over the next year? East. Seriously, I'd really like to correct the mess that Tracy made of revamp my personal web site at rialtus.com and get this embedded within it, for no other reason than to say I've done it.
5. Pimp five of your favorite journals/blogs. Not gonna, because I'm a TiVo whore, not a LJ pimp. Sorry. =)

Now, changing subjects... This falls in line with something that untexan mentioned in his journal. I found it humourous...

Aye, but there were many episodes at the beginning of the season that didn't have her appearence and yet she was credited. *shrug*

It's gotta be some contractual thing. Rob Lowe's demand was that he gets first billing (everyone else is in alphabetical order, except for Martin Sheen), but maybe Stockard Channing's is that she's only in certain eps, or maybe not in the credits at all. Lowe will probably be listed for the rest of the season, even though next week may be the last we ever see of Sam Seaborn.

Gilmore Girls is the same, kind of. Somtimes Liza Weil is in the credits, sometimes not. Usually depends if Paris is actually in the episode. But Edward Hermann always has the last billing as "Special Appearance By Edward Hermann" even though there can be weeks between when Richard is in an episode.

Charmed is also notorious for only showing actors in the opening sequence is they're actually in that episode. I assume it saves them some cash.

"Be a lemming and gopher it"? That pun is illegal in 49 states and the District of Columbia! Luckily, California's not one of the states, so you're OK.

AAAAACK! (I'm still sore over the loss of bananas, I guess . . .)

When I see a Bester icon, I do not think "thoughtful".

I think... Vir Cotto. I think heads on sticks.
