Just call me Cathy

My, I'm chatty today. Three posts in one day, and multiple email and comments. I still have very little to post, but a lot of time to say it in.

My Yahoo! email account just got used as the return address for some spammer. I had 1473 messages, all of them email bounces. It was a rather cool thing to see, but I'm so over it now.

On a similarly weird subject, I got a phone call at work from a studio production company. Seems that one of their phone numbers is routing unexpectedly to my phone number, resulting in me getting lot of phone calls for them. Kinda funny, but again, I'm over it now. Had to change my phone message to give callers their number. Hopefully that wonderful phone company SBC will fix this shortly.

Hi Christa! *waves hand vigorously* When will you unshroud and join us here in LJ Land? We need dirt of lambertman...

Shortly after my post the other day, I did purchase a TiVo upgrade kit from weaknees.com. That, I think, is going to be one of my tasks this weekend, after vigourously watching everything that is on the current TiVo hard drives. Hopefully, by the time I go to work Tuesday morning, I'll have a 300 hour TiVo.

In the time it has taken me to write this message, I have received three unique spams in my Yahoo! email account. I think I'm very glad I killed this particular account, especially since I gave that email addy out to anyone that wanted it in the days before I knew what I was doing. I should have a full email box again within a day. Wish there was a way to make this account exclusive, but then again, I don't need yet another email account...

I really like the direction that John Doe is taking. Tonight's episode was very well written, and adds a few good wrinkles to the overall storyline. I sure hope the producers have plotted out the story line more than a few episodes out.

Gas prices are absolutely out of contol in SoCal. In the past two weeks, the Texaco that I pass to get to work has jumped prices from $1.609 to $1.649 to $1.709, and now it's $1.749. This is in two weeks, and is for unleaded gas. 'Tis ridiculous, and makes me glad that I only fill up about once a week.

It's not just there... gas prices here went as high as $1.779 for unleaded back on Tuesday and Wednesday, but at least the system bucked a little and prices dropped today (from $1.699 to $1.599) instead of rising like they normally do every Friday.

Eeks! Well, I'm glad I go to Sam's Club for gas, and hope that prices will go down soon, but mainly for Jen's sake. She drives 30 miles each way to work, which adds up...

There's no dirt on me. I'm as pure as the driven snow. Yup.

I'll be interested to hear how easy that TiVo upgrade kit will be to install. I haven't maxed out mine yet, but you never know. (Right now, my biggest problem is 4 episodes of Dirty Rotten Cheater that I haven't yet decided to either delete or download (I'd hate to only have the first two on tape if PAX goes under...)

I've taken to using my Yahoo! mail address (c@c-l.com) for everything public, since it already had tons of spam coming to it anyway. My comcast address geenrally only sees LJ comments, Marc Berman's ratings and replies to e-mail I send people in the game show circle. I have a third address that's so exclusive, I never use it at all!

*beep beep beep* And that would be my sarcasm detector going off. Excuse me...

Hmm... the last email account I have for you is via chilitech, and I know how that ended up. Guess I'll need to worm my way past any spam filters to get to ya.
