A Convert?

Many of you know that I am so NOT a fan of country music. But this morning's Mark and Brian was in reruns, and had one of a tribute band to AC/DC. But... it's a hillbilly tribute to AC/DC. *gasp* Heathens! Infidels! Who in their right mind would murder such pure symbols of rock and roll?

And then they played a track.

Hole - e - crap. I mean to tell you, this was some good crap! Big Balls, alsways a funnyish song, is even better as dixieland music. Back in Black is just so mellow that it works. I did a quick net search, and found this site, which has one minute samples of their songs.

And now that I did a search on amazon.com, I found they also did a hillbilly Kiss tribute, as well as general remakes of songs.

I just might have to get me these...

These guys are AMAZING live! If you ever get the chance to see them, beat up a granny for her tickets and go!

Groop I implore thee my foonting turlingdromes.
You've inspired me to look at H2G2 regarding country music. *snicker*

And you now also see Hitchhiker icon #2, Ford looking smugly amused. The second DVD, BTW, has all the goodies on it, and is quite a long view.

These are probably the guys I heard doing "Walk this Way" on the Bob & Tom show. Again, they totally made it their own.

*checking amazon.com* Yup, it probably was, since that's on one of the albums.

I've had stories of Hayseed Dixie on my radio show. They're a riot!
