Tee hee

So last night I went out to Borders about 11 pm after Jen went to sleep to get some silly book as a surprise for her. Mind you, I had *no* reservation for said book... What an adventure! Parking sucked. The weather was misty. The costumes were worn. The lines were long. The book supply was short. Oh well. So I went over to Barnes and Noble to see the same situation. I came home and went to sleep, with intent to get up fairly early this morning.

Woke up this morning and went to Target. Arrived there at about 7:45 am for the store opening at 8 am. There were about six people in front of me in line. The manager opened the doors, and we all went straight to the register endcap that had the book and then checked out. The whole process in the store took a total of about three minutes. Oh, and it was cheaper at Target than amazon.com, B&N, or Borders. w00t!

Came home to find Jen in the shower, so I still had the element of surprise. I made the bed, placed the book on top of that space between the two pillows, and went downstairs to make coffee and read the paper. About five minutes later, Jen waltzs down with a big grin on her face.

I love surprising her like that. =)

Heh. I think it's funny that she isn't reading it yet though, since she's on the last book of another series right now. With the last book, she was instantly reading and quiet for a day!

I was going to go to Borders...I really was, but something inside me told me not to. Oh well...kind of a good thing I didn't go there considering the lines and all. I'll be sure to pick up a copy this weekend.
